Apostle Paul’s farewell to Ephesus

– What would you say?

Acts 20:26-38

If you knew it would the last time you would see someone what would you say? Paul knew this would be the last time he would see the Ephesus church. It is very interesting to read what he said to them, his last words.

Here is what I see what he emphasied.
1. He did not shrink back from speaking the Truth of the Gospel
2. He told the church leaders need to be on guard for false teaching and teachers. That there is savage wolves among them.
3. He taught them for three years to watch out for false teaching.
4. He admonished them to look to God and His Word.
5. He told them to work hard and not covet.
6. He said that its more blessed to give then receive.

It seems that Paul first pointed to the Truth then to be on guard for wolves and what they bring. He spoke against coveting but instead its more blessed to give.

What would you say to
someone if you knew it would be the last time you saw them face to face? Would it be anything like Paul said?

Do we warn our brother’s and sister’s in Christ about wolves? Do we lift up Christ and only Christ for salvation or do we teach good morals in the name of God?
